This post is a review of a Poker site that I came across called Flop Turn River. I know I’m going to get a lot of emails from my regular readers demanding to know what a Lotto site is doing reviewing a Poker site, well they do have something in common and that is they’re both gambling related. But before we get to that I want to talk about Responsible Gambling!

Why Responsible Gambling Is So Important

I feel so strongly about gambling responsibly that I dedicated a whole post to it called What Is Responsible Gambling? and I strongly urge those who haven’t read it yet to do so now. While there are many reasons why responsible gambling is important the main one is that it affects so many more people than the problem gambler as it affects all those that they love dearly. So, if you think you may have gambling problem then I strongly urge you to stay away from any site that promotes gambling, including this lottery site.

OK, now we have that out of the way let’s have a look at this online poker site.

Flop Turn River.com

I have to admit it’s a bit of a weird name but then I’m sure it has some kind of significance.  The site, http://www.flopturnriver.com/PokerStars-Download.php, itself loads extremely quickly and I know that is important to a whole lot of people. It comes with a forum so you can discuss playing tactics with other members and so helps to fill their Your home for reading, discussing, and playing online poker! byline.

It’s obviously aimed at all players from beginners to those who consider themselves to be professionals. For the beginner it offers a Poker Training section so they can hone their skills. You can easily tell this as the next tab on their home page is called Poker Training.

The next tabs give you a selection of poker rooms and I find it interesting that it lists a whole heap of US ones, considering they’re so strict they won’t even let their citizens purchase an online lottery ticket. Weird, especially when they’re so big on being allowed the freedom to do whatever they want. I did find their Poker News of interest as it shows that they’re trying to change legislation in many states to allow online poker sites. If they do that I sure hope they include something to dissuade problem gamblers.

Then there’s a tab for a whole sleuth of poker downloads so I’m assuming that you can only play online once you’ve downloaded the proper software. I’m sure this is to give members a better online experience so that they’re not constantly having to wait for rooms to load.

Truth be told there’s quite a bit on offer at FTP from Poker Tools to how to videos. It even offers links online casinos offering 3D slots and the like. All in all if you’re at all interested in Online Poker then FTP certainly deserves looking into. For those of you who may be interested you can save a little money by getting a bonus code from PokerStars Bonus Secondary Destination Link.
