He we go again. I’ve just received another one of those dreaded phishing emails telling me that I’ve won €850,000.00. Naturally I know this to be impossible as I never bought a ticket from SWISS-LOTTO NETHERLANDS. Naturally they know that a lot of people will feel that way and so they try to get around it by inventing some lame lottery which involved your email address as being the condition of entry This is how they come up with the crummy line that says “Netherlands wishes to inform you that your e-mail address emerged as the STAR PRIZE WINNER!” Yeah, sure mate! And to think that there would be so many people who would fall for this.
It’s definitely a phishing email because it is fishing for personal information, information that could be used in so many ways against you, from helping themselves to your money to even stealing your identity. Anyway, this is the email you should be watching out for.
